Alexis MacDonald, CHRP

In a short period of time, Alexis has streamlined HR processes, effectively organized and communicated an integrated policy manual, and revamped the organization’s incentive programs.  Alexis continues to set the standard for people who had been with the company for more than 20 years.  In addition to her numerous volunteer activities including participating on the HRIA Editorial Committee, Alexis is currently pursuing her masters of Human Resources Management at York University.

Adam has demonstrated HR excellence and has had an enormous impact on business at Great West Kenworth. As a senior manager, Adam integrates a human resource perspective in the operational and financial decision of the company. Adam successfully implemented a health & safety program, disability management program, an Intranet system and also initiated a compensation strategy to decrease turnover. Adam continues to make a positive and strategic impact resulting in very measurable results that impact the bottom line of the organization.

Brian has taken executive leadership positions at all levels of the profession. He has been executive of the HRIA, HRAC, CCHRA, NAHRMA and a board member of the international HR association. He was instrumental in establishing the relevance of CCHRA. He has worked in industry within corporations, within career transition firms and within recruiting firms.  He has sponsored and mentored individuals throughout his career to help them become successful.  Brian was recipient of HRIA’s Distinguished Career Award in 2008

 
Mel Zimmerman, FCHRP, CPCC

Mel has held leadership roles with both the local and provincial associations in Alberta. He worked tirelessly to establish the HRIA in 1984 and ensure its relevancy with all stakeholders in the province. Mel has been a champion of the HRIA and the CHRP designation from the initial founding of the provincial association, which occurred during his term on the HRAC executive. He has worked tirelessly to continue the development of the HRIA as a province-wide association and was instrumental in finalizing the completion of collaboration in 2010. Mel was also the first recipient of Award of Distinction for leadership and contribution to The Human Resources Association of Calgary (2001).
