Volunteer Team Lead Coordinator

The Volunteer Team Lead Coordinators play an integral role in the success of the HRIA Conference by sourcing, organizing and coordinating their team of volunteers. 

Responsibilities

• Respond to the volunteer inquiries and questions by phone or email
• Track volunteer availability and schedule the volunteer team based on the shift requirements provided by HRIA’s Sponsorship & Event Manager
• Act as the main point of contact prior to the conference for approximately 10-20 volunteers
• Plan and attend the volunteer orientation, in coordination with the Sponsorship & Event Manager
• Be available during the conference to complete the onsite volunteer team coordination

Qualifications

• Member in good standing of the HRIA
• Preferred that you are attending the conference
• Prior experience with organizing volunteers an asset 

Number of Positions

Four (4) positions are available each year. Volunteer Team Lead Coordinator roles available for Registration, Concurrent Sessions, Keynote Sessions, and Tradeshow.  We are looking for candidates preferably located in the Calgary region this year.

Relationships

Work with HRIA Sponsorship & Event Manager, staff and members

Time Commitment

• 3 month commitment (February – April)
• Ability to dedicate approximately 5 hours during the month of February
• Ability to dedicate approximately 10 hours per month in the 2 months (Mar – Apr) leading up to the conference
• Available during the week of the conference, during the volunteer orientation evening Sunday April 22, 2012, and available on-site both days during the conference (April 24 and 25, 2012)
